BOKO HARAM - A gallant soldier who hailed from Bayelsa state has been immortalized his colleague for saving the lives of a Nigerian army platoon after he stepped on a landmine.
The sad incident happened last week as the naval officer, Seaman Amaseimogha Paul, lost his life while fighting the insurgent in the North-east.
The young soldier ensured he died alone saving the life of our army platoon. His shout-out to his men to stay away as far as they can go for him to detonate the mine saved their lives. The safety of his colleague has been paramount to him.
However, his colleague, Okunima Patrick, have written a tribute for his memories, "all this whom you have saved will forever remain indebted to you" he wrote.
The brave soldier will be ever be remembered by us all.
