Lagos - A 24-year-old woman, Faith Ofeimu, was, yesterday, arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing phones and cash valued at N532, 800 from a businessman who offered her a lift in Lagos.
The prosecutor, Koti Aondohemba, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 24, at 11:30p.m.
The accused woman is facing a two-count charge of stealing labelled against her by the police.
He said that the incident took place at the residence of the complaint, Benson Bright, at 4, Tokunbo Street, Lagos Island.
However the defendant has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and Magistrate Salama Matepo, granted her N100,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned till June 24.
